Privacy notice
This site is a tax reference. It runs no analytics, sets no advertising or tracking identifier, loads nothing from a third-party server, and asks for personal data in exactly one place — the question form at the foot of each page.
Who is responsible for your data
OWNER INPUT REQUIRED The legal name of the operating entity, its trade licence number and issuing authority, its registered address, and an email address that a person actually reads.
A privacy notice has to name a controller a reader can write to. This site publishes no company name beyond the domain, no licence, no address and no contact address, so the controller cannot be identified here yet. That is stated rather than glossed over.
Which data-protection regime applies also turns on that same missing fact. A UAE onshore entity falls under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data; an entity licensed in the DIFC or ADGM falls under that financial free zone's own data-protection law instead, with a different regulator and different notification duties. Naming the wrong one would be worse than naming none.
What the enquiry form collects
The form asks for three things and offers a fourth. Alongside them it submits context about the page you were reading, so an answer can be written against the right topic without you having to describe where you were.

Please do not send documents or identifying numbers through this form. A tax question can be answered without your Emirates ID, passport number, Tax Registration Number, bank details, salary, or a copy of a return or an FTA notice. Describe the situation instead. This form has no attachment field for that reason.
What happens to a submission today
Nothing, and that is not a privacy position — it is a defect being disclosed. The form on this site is not connected to any handler. There is no endpoint configured, so a submission is not transmitted anywhere, not stored, not emailed, and not read. It does not reach a person.
The form nonetheless shows a confirmation when you send it. Until that is corrected, do not rely on this form to reach anyone, and do not treat a question sent through it as having been asked.
OWNER INPUT REQUIRED When the form is connected: where submissions are stored, in which country, who can read them, how long they are kept, and the mail provider that carries the reply. Each of those is a disclosure this section has to make, and none of them can be written before the handler exists.
Publishing questions
The site's stated intention is to publish useful questions, anonymised, so the next person searching finds the answer already written. If that goes ahead, the rule is narrow and worth stating precisely: a published question keeps only the substance of the tax problem. Your name, your company, your email address, your phone number, and any figure or identifier specific to you are not published, and the question is rewritten rather than quoted where quoting it would identify you.
If you would rather your question were never published in any form, say so in the question itself and it will not be.
Cookies and what is stored in your browser
This site sets no cookies at all. It stores exactly one value in your browser's local storage:

It contains no identifier, is never sent to a server, and clearing your browser storage removes it. There is no consent banner on this site because there is no tracking to consent to — not as a design flourish, but because a banner that asks permission for a theme preference trains people to click through the ones that matter.
There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no heatmap or session recorder, no chat widget, no embedded video or map, and no third-party font host. Every font, style and script on this site is served from this domain. That is checkable: open your browser's network panel and count the origins.
Server logs
OWNER INPUT REQUIRED The host and CDN, the country the logs sit in, what each records (IP address, user agent, requested URL), and how long they are retained.
Any web host keeps request logs, and those logs contain IP addresses. This notice cannot describe them honestly until the hosting arrangement is fixed and its retention period is known.
Your rights
Under UAE federal data-protection law a person generally has rights to access their personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data deleted, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw a consent they gave. The precise scope, the exceptions and the time limits are set by the applicable law and its implementing regulations, and they differ between the federal regime and the DIFC and ADGM regimes.
OWNER INPUT REQUIRED The route to exercise any of these — an email address or postal address — and the supervisory authority a reader can complain to, which follows from which regime applies. A privacy notice that lists rights but gives no way to use them is not much better than no notice at all.
Children
This site is written for adults dealing with a business or personal tax obligation. It is not directed at children and asks for nothing from them.
Changes to this notice
When this notice changes materially the change is described here rather than announced by a silently updated date. The page carries no "last updated" stamp today, because a stamp that is generated at build time records when the site was rebuilt, not when a person changed the policy — and on this site that distinction is the whole point.
